When Håkon Kornstad holds court, the audience is present with all their senses, surrounded by a musicality that hits every nerve, a quality that stays with you as a memory for life. As a saxophonist, he is unique, with tone and control that few can match; as an opera singer, he has the same ability to make his fresh experimentation known and enduring.

When playing solo live he combines both genres, creating his own accompaniment with a loop machine that he plays and sings on top of. Caruso meets Coltrane. Björling meets Garbarek. The audience should see this!

Håkon is the obvious choice when the very first concerts are held at Rondo, Tanken's new restaurant. In the intimate and rustic venue, Kornstad's total musical presence comes across well. If you want to get close to one of our great performers, this is the night.

Rondo - new festival venue

Rondo is Bærum Kulturhus' new eatery and meeting place at Tanken. This is the first time concerts have been held in the intimate and rustic venue. A fitting setting where the audience gets close to the performers.
