Torun Eriksen, with her genre-transcending music and poetic lyrics, is a distinct voice on the Norwegian and European jazz scene. She has released six critically acclaimed albums on the renowned label Jazzland Recordings and collaborates with numerous performers nationally and internationally. She is currently involved in the commissioned work 'Lydogram,' written for and with the Oslo Jazz Orchestra. In 2024, she celebrates 20 years as a recording artist and releases her seventh album.

The Hammond-driven trio Spirit in the Dark explores the intense dynamic drama and sophisticated harmonic tensions of modern 70s and 80s gospel music. Their 2015 debut album 'Now Is The Time' features their original funk compositions in the New Orleans style alongside the music of gospel legends like James Cleveland, The Clark Sisters, and Thomas Whitfield. All stripped down to intimate instrumental trio arrangements, highlighted by the vintage keyboard sounds of David Wallumrød, supported by Audun Erlien on electric bass and Anders Engen on drums
