Erlend Apneseth trio

Norwegian folk music, jazz and electronica in a close, intimate and unspeakably beautiful live setting. Erlend Apneseth Trio is truly one of Norway's most innovative and active bands, combining the sounds of Norwegian folk music, jazz and electronica in a unique way.

The band has garnered praise, awards and nominations for its four album releases on the renowned Hubro label, and touring much of Norway and Europe over the past eight years has thrilled new and returning concertgoers alike.

The trio consists of Erlend Apneseth (harding fiddle), Stephan Meidell (guitar/live sampling) and Øyvind Hegg-Lunde (drums/percussion). They are all critically acclaimed performers and composers in their fields, and their improvisational approach makes each concert a unique experience.

You'll get ambient, beautiful and hypnotic soundscapes that make you dream away in all the beauty while microtonal moods and complex rhythms create contrasts.

The dragon castle

And then there's the setting for the concert: Drageslottet Fagerheim. This venerable dragon-style timber villa in Høvik creates a very special setting for the concert. When the chief himself, Ludvig Gundersen, welcomes the audience, the atmosphere is set within the solid timber walls. This concert will take place in a private home that opens its living room to the audience.
